Los Angeles: So, the Rams are packing up and heading to Arizona for their wild-card game. It’s all thanks to the Arizona Cardinals, who are lending them a couple of jets. Pretty cool, right?
With wildfires tearing through Los Angeles, the NFL decided it was best to move the game. The Rams are bringing along their team, staff, and even some furry friends—six dogs and two cats are making the trip too!
They’re flying about 350 people to Arizona on Friday, with more arriving on Sunday. The game is set for 8 p.m. ET, so it’s all hands on deck.
And get this, the Rams have also lined up 15 buses to take around 750 fans to the game. Kelly Stafford, Matthew Stafford’s wife, is helping to get even more fans there. Tickets went on sale, and Rams fans snapped up 25,000 of them!
The NFL made the call to move the game on Thursday, even though the Rams’ SoFi Stadium isn’t near the fires. But with the air quality being poor and local resources stretched thin, it made sense.
Now, the Rams are facing a tough matchup against the Vikings, who had a solid season. They could have played the Commanders but chose to rest some starters last weekend, which didn’t help their playoff seeding.
