Hackney: So, there’s been a pretty serious incident in Hackney. Two guys got shot, and another one was stabbed. It all happened in a couple of separate incidents, and the police think they might be linked.
They got the call around 10:35 PM on Saturday about gunfire in Homerton. The Metropolitan Police jumped into action, sending officers, paramedics, and even London’s Air Ambulance to the scene.
When they arrived, they found a 27-year-old man with gunshot wounds right outside Homerton Station. Meanwhile, two other guys, aged 28 and 29, were hurt nearby on Gascoyne Road—one shot and the other stabbed. Thankfully, their injuries aren’t life-threatening.
As of now, no one has been arrested, which is a bit concerning. Superintendent Brigid Beehag-Fisher from the local police said this incident shows a real lack of care for community safety.
She mentioned that the investigation teams are working hard to figure out what happened and to catch those responsible. Plus, they’re planning to have more police around the area in the coming days.
If anyone knows anything about this, they’re really encouraging people to talk to the officers on the street or call the police with any info.
