Police jumped into action and arrested an 18-year-old guy. They said he sent a menacing message through a public communication network. Thankfully, they later confirmed that the email was just a hoax.
Birches Head Academy and St Peter’s Academy were among the schools that took precautions. The principal of Birches Head, Paul Masher, informed parents about the lockdown. He wanted to keep everyone safe, which is totally understandable.
The police reassured families that there was no real threat. They were in touch with the schools and were investigating the situation. It’s good to know they’re on top of things.
In the end, the police made it clear that anyone sending out these kinds of messages would face serious consequences. It’s a reminder that safety comes first, and it’s always better to be cautious.
