Liverpool: So, it looks like Liverpool is ready to sell Ben Doak for about $25 million, which is a drop from their original asking price of $37 million. Not too shabby, right?
Crystal Palace is thinking about coming back with a better offer after their last bid got turned down. Ipswich is also in the mix, looking to make a fresh offer. Last week, both clubs tried to snag Doak for around $18 million, but Liverpool wasn’t having it.
Doak joined Liverpool from Celtic back in 2022 and has played 10 times for the first team. It seems like Liverpool can’t resist making a good profit on a player they picked up for less than $1 million just three years ago.
By the way, Doak was on loan at Middlesbrough last summer, and if he gets sold, that’ll wrap up his time there. He’s done pretty well, scoring two goals and getting six assists in 21 games.
On another note, there’s been chatter about Andy Robertson not being at his best this season. Liverpool is eyeing Fulham’s Antonee Robinson as a potential replacement. Robinson has been killing it as a left-back this season, both in attack and defense.
But, it seems like a January move for Robinson isn’t likely. Liverpool usually doesn’t spend big on players who are nearing 30, preferring to invest in younger talent instead.
