Liverpool: The Reds are kicking off 2025 in style, sitting eight points clear at the top of the Premier League. They’re also looking strong in other competitions.
After a whirlwind 2024 with Jurgen Klopp’s departure and new faces like Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes stepping in, it’s hard to say what 2025 will bring. But one thing’s for sure, Liverpool has handled the changes well on the pitch.

First up, major contract decisions are on the table. The futures of Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Mohamed Salah are uncertain. With their contracts running out soon, it’s a bit nerve-wracking. Ideally, they’d all stick around for a couple more years, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Last year, we were already feeling the pressure about their contracts, but now it’s even more urgent. They can start talking to other clubs about pre-contracts, so expect a lot of chatter around them.
