Liverpool: The Reds are gearing up for the future, especially with the winter transfer window now open. Last summer was all about seizing opportunities, and it looks like they’ll keep that approach. If the right player pops up at the right price, they’ll definitely consider making a move.

So far, the squad has been performing well, even with some players like Harvey Elliott not getting much game time. It’s all about finding the right fit, not just any player for a quick boost. They’ve made some great January signings in the past, like Virgil van Dijk and Luis Diaz, but they’re not rushing into anything.

One area they might need to address is left-back. Andy Robertson has been a bit off his game lately, and with his contract running down, it could be time to think about a younger option. Someone like Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri could be a good fit, but they’d need to make some room first.

In midfield, Ryan Gravenberch has been a standout, but he’s never played this much before. If he gets injured, Liverpool could be in trouble. They really need to find someone who can step in, like Martin Zubimendi, to keep things running smoothly.

Wataru Endo was never meant to be a long-term solution, and at nearly 32, he’s not the energetic player they need. They’ll want someone who fits better with the style Arne Slot is aiming for, which is why Endo hasn’t seen much action outside of the Carabao Cup.

Then there’s the forward line. With Mohamed Salah’s contract talks ongoing, there are questions about Darwin Nunez and the other strikers. Nunez hasn’t been consistent since joining from Benfica, and with Diogo Jota often injured, they might need to rethink their options up front.

Gakpo has been great on the left, and with Diaz, that side looks solid for the future. But on the right, Salah’s brilliance hides the fact that Chiesa hasn’t been utilized much. If they could land a top-notch forward who fits Slot’s vision, it could shake things up, possibly leading to Nunez moving on.

Right now, Liverpool’s main focus has to be on contracts. Even if they get the big three sorted, there’s still a lot of recruitment to consider moving forward.
