London: A fun throwback photo of Joe Gomez has popped up online. It features him alongside Hollywood star Timothee Chalamet from a youth soccer tournament in England.

In the pic, Gomez, then an academy player for Charlton Athletic, is on one knee, while Chalamet strikes a similar pose next to him. They both look so young!

Chalamet was playing for Manhattan Kickers FC, a youth team from New York City. They traveled to England for a tournament that included Charlton. How cool is that?

While we don’t know the exact date of the photo, it seems to be from between 2006 and 2008, based on Gomez’s kit. It’s wild to see how far they’ve both come since then!

Chalamet, now 29, is a big name in Hollywood, known for films like ‘Dune’ and has even snagged an Academy Award nomination. Gomez, on the other hand, has made quite a name for himself in soccer.

He debuted for Charlton in 2014 and joined Liverpool a year later, racking up 240 appearances. Not too shabby, right?

However, Gomez is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury he picked up during Liverpool’s last match against West Ham. It’s a tough break for him and the team.

After the game, coach Arne Slot mentioned Gomez’s injury, saying it’s going to take some time for him to recover. Injuries are just part of the game, unfortunately.
