Chris Cooper faces sentencing for the murder of Kelvin Evans after a single punch outside a pub in Gorseinon, Wales
Gorseinon, Wales, Christopher Cooper, Kelvin Evans, Murder, Pub Attack
Gorseinon: A tragic incident unfolded when Christopher Cooper delivered a fatal punch to Kelvin Evans outside The Station Hotel. This happened back in May, and sadly, Evans passed away a month later.
Cooper claimed he acted in self-defense, saying Evans threatened his girlfriend during karaoke. But he didn’t even take the stand to back up his story. The prosecution called his claims ridiculous, and the jury found him guilty of murder. His partner, Tracy Francis, was also convicted for helping him cover it up.
The attack was brutal. Cooper hit Evans from behind, sending him crashing to the ground. Afterward, he even bragged about it, which is just shocking. He and Francis quickly fled the scene, changed their clothes, and tried to escape to a hotel away from Swansea.
Evans was well-loved in Gorseinon, and his funeral saw hundreds of people paying their respects. His family described him as a wonderful man and were overwhelmed by the turnout. It’s heartbreaking to see how many lives he touched.
Now, both Cooper and Francis are in custody, waiting for their sentences. It’s a sad reminder of how quickly things can turn tragic.
