Salford: Police and forensics are on the scene where a man was found dead. This tragic event has led to a murder investigation. The victim, a man in his 50s, was discovered at a property on Hope Hey Lane in Little Hulton.
Officers arrived around 7:30 AM on Sunday after someone raised concerns about a person’s welfare. A post-mortem revealed that the man had injuries consistent with an assault, according to Greater Manchester Police.
A woman in her 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is still in custody. Police have been present on Hope Hey Lane for three days now, with a patrol car and van spotted there this morning.
Residents have been informed to expect more police activity in the area this week. Detective Chief Inspector Neil Higginson from GMP’s Major Incident Team said they are working hard to piece together what happened.
He reassured the public that there’s no wider threat but mentioned that the police presence will be noticeable as they continue their inquiries. They’re asking anyone with information, dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage from the last 24 hours to come forward.
