This week’s third round had some really exciting matchups. Sure, it was a bit of a bummer that matches were spread out from Thursday to Monday, which led to a pretty empty stadium for Sheffield United vs Cardiff. But there were still some amazing stories, as reported by the Mirror.
One highlight was definitely the Greens taking down Premier League team Brentford. The celebrations were wild after the final whistle at the Gtech Community Stadium. Kevin Nancekivell and Joe Edwards, who were in charge temporarily, soaked up the cheers from a passionate 2,400-strong Green Army.
The draw kicks off at 5pm, hosted by Kelly Somers. Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown and ex-Middlesborough and Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer will be drawing the numbers.
