Live: Bus Fire Sends Plumes of Smoke Billowing in Devon
A bus fire in Plymouth has prompted emergency services to respond quickly as smoke fills the air

Plymouth: A bus fire has erupted, and it’s causing quite a scene. Emergency services are rushing to Budshead Road to tackle the flames. They’ve even closed off the road to manage the situation.
One witness mentioned that the smoke is visible from Saltash, which is pretty far away. They thought it might be a lorry on fire just before reaching the police station. The top of Budshead Road is blocked off, so it’s a bit of a mess.
Another local said there are huge plumes of smoke near Agaton House in Ernesettle. It’s definitely not a good day for traffic in that area.
According to the police, they got the call around 2:10 PM about the bus fire. They’ve set up a road closure at Jubilee Road and Budshead Road while they handle everything. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far.
Traffic updates from Inrix show that Budshead Road is closed in both directions due to the fire, but it seems like traffic is still moving okay otherwise.
