The East Midlands Specialist Operations Unit led the investigation. They dismantled the gang and found weapons, high-value vehicles, and designer clothes. The operation linked several crime groups in Derbyshire and nearby cities like Sheffield and Rotherham.
Jacob Fieldsend was a key player in the gang. He bought multiple kilos of cocaine from Daniel Karim. Fieldsend worked with Joel Herrett and managed drug lines in Chesterfield and Sheffield. He supplied cocaine to other dealers, including brothers Michael and Christopher Hall.
When arrested in August 2023, Fieldsend had 4kg of cocaine. Jordan Green, another dealer, had 2kg when he was caught. Green ran his own drug lines and employed others to sell cocaine for him.
Daniel Karim was connected to both drug seizures. He had £11,000 worth of trainers when arrested. Brandon Thompson, a customer of Fieldsend, was caught with nearly a quarter of a kilo of cocaine. He also had £67,000 in cash and weapons at his home.
Cameron Turner supplied cocaine to users and had £22,000 in cash when stopped by police. Aaron Megson-Willis worked with Karim and had evidence of cash and drugs on his phone.
Sixteen members of the gang pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply drugs. Their names include Jacob Fieldsend, Daniel Karim, and Jordan Green. Daniel Hicklin denied the charges but was found guilty after a trial.
Detective Inspector Beth Lee stated that this investigation was complex and large-scale. The gang caused harm by supplying drugs and using violence. Removing them from the streets improves community safety and shows that such activities won’t be tolerated.
