Lima, Ohio, Bailey Luckett, Reckless Homicide, Fatal Crash

Wapakoneta: A 24-year-old woman from Lima, Bailey Luckett, is in some hot water. She pleaded not guilty to some pretty serious charges after a crash that happened back in October. The crash resulted in the death of a man named David Shutt.

So, here’s what went down. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Bailey was driving on Interstate 75 when she suddenly stopped in front of a semi-truck. The truck driver, Jesus Perez, had to hit the brakes hard. After that, Bailey got out of her car and confronted Perez. But then, out of nowhere, another car driven by David Shutt slammed into the back of the semi.

Sadly, David didn’t make it. He was pronounced dead at the scene, while Bailey and Jesus walked away without injuries. After her arraignment, Bailey was released on her own recognizance, which means she didn’t have to post bail. It’s a tough situation all around, and people are left wondering what really happened that day.
