Leigh: So, there’s this guy, Peter Humphris, who’s been having a tough time trying to get on c2c trains with his mobility scooter. He really needs it to get around since he can’t drive anymore because of his eyesight.
Recently, he got turned away not once, but twice! He’s pretty frustrated and wants c2c to clear things up and apologize. He’s been using his scooter without any issues before, so this is really throwing him for a loop.
Peter mentioned that c2c claims mobility scooters are allowed, and they even encourage people to use ramps. But now, he feels like he’s being treated unfairly because his scooter looks a bit like an electric scooter.
He uses it for important trips, like going to check on his small boat in Benfleet. After losing his driving privileges, he thought getting a scooter was the best move. He’s been in touch with c2c, trying to get some answers about their rules.
He’s been sending emails and making calls, just hoping for some clarity. A spokesperson from c2c said they’re looking into what happened and are in touch with him. It sounds like they need to sort this out for everyone’s sake!
