Los Angeles: So, LeBron just turned 40, right? It’s wild to think about how long he’s been dominating the NBA. He took some time to chat about his career and what’s next.

During a Lakers practice, he opened up about his future. He didn’t drop any hints about retiring soon, but he did say he could keep playing at a high level for another five to seven years if he really wanted to.

He mentioned, “It won’t be because I can’t play this game at a high level.” It’s pretty cool that he feels that way, but he’s not planning on stretching it out that long.

James also made it clear he’s not looking for a comeback like Michael Jordan did with the Wizards. When he’s done, he’s done. It’s kind of crazy to think about him playing in the NBA at 45 or 47, but hey, he’s averaging nearly 24 points a game this season, so who knows?

He’s got a lot of respect for Tom Brady, who’s also shown that age doesn’t have to be a barrier in sports. As for where he wants to finish his career, he’s pretty set on the Lakers being his last stop.

LeBron said, “I would love for it to end here.” He’s all about finishing strong in L.A. He knows the business side of basketball, but he feels good about his relationship with the Lakers.

He’s got a solid contract that keeps him with the Lakers through 2026, so it looks like he’s sticking around. All signs point to him wanting to stay in Los Angeles, and honestly, who can blame him?
