Port Vale: So, guess what? Port Vale is chatting with Crystal Palace about bringing in striker Jemiah Umolu for the rest of the season. Pretty exciting, right?
Umolu, who’s just 19, had a couple of trial runs with Palace last season before he made the switch from West Ham. He officially joined Palace over the summer on a free transfer.
This kid has been a key player for the team this season. He’s been scoring goals like it’s nobody’s business, netting nine in the PL2 competition. He even scored a hat-trick against Tottenham last November!
Plus, he’s also made his mark in the EFL Trophy, scoring once against Gillingham. Port Vale is just a point shy of the automatic promotion spots, and they’re eager to get back to League One under manager Darren Moore.
But here’s the kicker: despite their decent league position, they’ve been struggling to find the back of the net lately. They’ve only scored six times in their last ten league matches, which is the worst in the division.
Two of those goals came in their recent win over Doncaster, so they’re really hoping Umolu can help turn things around. Fingers crossed!
