New Forest: So, there’s been a bunch of planning applications submitted to the New Forest District Council recently. This all happened during the week ending January 17, 2025. Let’s dive into what’s on the table.
First up, in Ellingham Harbridge and Ibsley, there’s a proposal for sand and gravel extraction. They want to set up access roads, a processing plant, and even some lagoons. Sounds like a big project, right?
Then in Fordingbridge, they’re looking to install an extraction flue system at a property on High Street. It’s a bit of a smaller job, but still important for the area.
Over in Hythe and Dibden, there’s a plan for a single-storey side extension at a home on Heatherstone Avenue. Plus, they’re asking for an environmental impact assessment for a proposed development of up to 180 homes at Home Farm. That could really change the neighborhood!
In Lymington and Pennington, there’s a couple of interesting proposals. One is to replace an existing conservatory, and another involves some significant internal alterations at a property on Nelson Place.
Moving on to Martin, they’re looking at a single-storey side and rear extension at Bridge Cottage. And in New Milton, there are plans for rear and side extensions at a house on Carlton Avenue, along with a couple of new four-bedroom homes.
Totton and Eling is also getting some attention with a flat-roofed rear extension at a property on Brokenford Avenue. It’s all happening!
Now, let’s talk about some decisions that have been made. In Bransgore, a replacement dwelling has been granted at Tara on Poplar Close. They’re also rebuilding a boundary wall at Breamore Church of England Primary School.
In Hythe and Dibden, a two-storey side extension has been approved, and in Lymington and Pennington, a proposed carport has also been given the green light.
There’s a lot going on in the New Forest area, with various applications and decisions shaping the community. It’s always interesting to see how these developments unfold!
