Worcester: A community campaigner is worried about a wall on Lark Hill Road. The wall and bank are unstable and could collapse.

Barriers are blocking a path, and nearby steps are in bad shape. A section of the wall fell down last year after heavy rain.

Clare Wratten, from the Green Party, says the wall is now very precarious. She fears it could fall completely, causing injuries.

She also mentioned that large trees on the bank might fall and cause more damage. Clare has reported these issues to the city council.

Clare is concerned about the weather. Windy conditions could make the situation worse. The steps are also dangerous and need repairs.

Some residents avoid the steps due to antisocial behavior in the area. Clare has informed the local police for more patrols.

She hopes police can help make the area safer. A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council said the wall isn’t their responsibility.

They are working with the landowner to ensure safety. The footpath will stay closed until it’s safe to reopen.

Worcester City Council has also been contacted for comments.
