Lane Johnson not happy that Penei Sewell beat him out for first-team All-Pro

Lane Johnson Upset Over Penei Sewell’s All-Pro Selection

Lane Johnson expresses frustration after Penei Sewell beats him for All-Pro honors

Philadelphia: So, Lane Johnson is feeling a bit miffed. The All-Pro voters picked Penei Sewell as the first-team right tackle, and Johnson didn’t take it well. The vote was 35-15, and that stings.

He’s got a list of stats showing he outperformed Sewell, and he’s got it taped right to his locker. Johnson told Jeff McLane from the Philadelphia Inquirer that he’s not happy about how things turned out.

He pointed out that he allowed fewer sacks and pressures, plus he had a quicker time to throw. While the NFL doesn’t keep official blocking stats, Johnson found some that put him ahead of Sewell.

But, let’s be real. He kinda glossed over some numbers that favor Sewell, like how Sewell played 208 more snaps this season. Johnson missed a couple of games, while Sewell hasn’t missed a single snap in his career.

Of course, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni is backing Johnson, calling him the best offensive lineman in the league. If the Eagles and Lions end up facing off in the NFC Championship, you can bet both guys will be fired up to show who’s the top right tackle.
