Los Angeles: So, the Lakers just made a big move! They traded D’Angelo Russell to the Nets and got Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton in return. It’s a pretty interesting shake-up.
Finney-Smith is a solid addition. He’s been averaging over 10 points a game and shooting really well from three. Plus, he’s got the size to defend multiple positions, which the Lakers definitely need.
On the flip side, Russell wasn’t having the best season. He was averaging a career-low in points and assists. Now he’s heading back to Brooklyn, where he had that All-Star season a few years back.
With Russell moving to the Nets, it looks like the Lakers are trying to boost their bench. They’ve got Max Christie stepping up lately, too, which is great for them.
Milton is expected to help out with defense and playmaking. He’s been scoring well lately, so he could be a nice fit for the Lakers’ second unit.
Oh, and the Nets are also getting some draft picks and a young player, Maxwell Lewis, in this deal. They’re really stacking up for the future!
The Lakers are gearing up for their next game against the Cavaliers, while the Nets will face the Magic soon. It’s going to be exciting to see how these changes play out!
