Los Angeles: So, there’s some drama brewing in the NBA. Charles Barkley went off on Lakers coach JJ Redick after Redick criticized the negativity in NBA broadcasts. It seems like Redick isn’t too bothered by it, though.

After Barkley’s rant, Redick casually mentioned he didn’t even watch the whole clip. He said he got a text about it and thought, “Huh?” But he didn’t care enough to dive deep into Barkley’s comments.

Redick shared, “My resting heart rate is 64. I watched the clip, it was 64. Literally don’t care.” He’s got other things on his mind, apparently.

Barkley’s rant was sparked by Redick saying that if casual fans hear the product is bad, they won’t watch. Barkley didn’t hold back, criticizing Redick’s coaching and the Lakers’ performance.

He said, “You come for the king, you better not miss,” and went on about how Redick thinks he can fix the Lakers. Barkley’s known for his fiery takes, and this one was no different.

Redick is new to coaching, having only coached his son’s elementary team before this. The Lakers have had a mixed season, winning six of their last eight games but still not living up to expectations with a 19-14 record.

As long as the Lakers are struggling, Redick might find himself in the crosshairs of critics like Barkley. It’s going to be an interesting season for him, that’s for sure.
