San Francisco: So, here’s the scoop. Jonathan Kuminga was having a solid game, leading the Warriors in scoring during the first half. But then, bam! He rolled his right ankle just before halftime against the Grizzlies.
This happened at Chase Center, and it was a bit of a freak accident. Kuminga was trying to contest a shot when he landed awkwardly on Brandon Clarke’s foot. Ouch! He stayed on the court for a moment but then had to limp off to the locker room.
In just 15 minutes of play, he scored 13 points, hitting 4 out of 6 shots and nailing all three of his three-pointers. Not too shabby, right? But now, with Steph Curry already out with knee issues, the Warriors are really going to miss Kuminga’s scoring.
They’ll need to find someone else to step up against the Grizzlies, who are currently the second seed in the Western Conference. Fingers crossed for a quick recovery for Kuminga!
