DURHAM: Big news from Oyster River High School! Kristen Perron just snagged the title of 2025 New Hampshire Assistant Principal of the Year. How cool is that?

This award is a big deal. It goes to an assistant principal who really makes a difference in students’ lives and shows what great leadership looks like. Kristen totally fits the bill.

She’s been in education for almost 15 years, starting as an English teacher at Pinkerton Academy. After that, she took on some admin roles, including being the dean at Salem High School.

During her final interview for the award, she brought along some fun stuff to show her impact, like the pink vest she wears while directing traffic. The kids even made her some signs!

Her principal, Rebecca Noe, couldn’t be prouder. She said Kristen is always there for the students, making sure their voices are heard. That’s what good leadership is all about.

Now, Kristen’s in the running for National Assistant Principal of the Year. How exciting! The community is really rallying behind her, and it’s clear she’s making a lasting impact.

Superintendent Robert Shaps also praised her dedication, saying her commitment creates a great learning environment for everyone. It’s all about that positive influence!
