Redditch: So, here’s the scoop. On Christmas Eve, police had to deal with a pretty intense situation. A guy with a knife was shot by armed officers.
It all started when the West Midlands Ambulance Service got worried about a man’s safety. They called the police to Fownhope Close, where things escalated.
Police said they tried to talk to the man for hours. They even sent in a negotiator to help calm things down. But around 7:40 PM, things took a turn.
Sadly, a 39-year-old man was shot. Despite the best efforts of the paramedics, he was pronounced dead shortly after 8 PM.
Luckily, no one else was in the house at the time. The police are now looking into the incident and have referred it to the Independent Office of Police Conduct.
