New York: The Knicks are making some moves with their roster. They plan to re-sign Matt Ryan to a two-way deal after he clears waivers. This comes from SNY’s NBA Insider Ian Begley.
To make space, they’re waiving Boo Buie. Ryan hasn’t had much playing time since joining the team earlier this year. He was on a non-guaranteed contract but got waived this week to bring back Landry Shamet, who’s back from a shoulder injury.
Ryan struggled to find his rhythm, shooting only 29 percent from the field and 21 percent from three-point range in his nine games. But with the two-way contract, he can play in the G League.
As for Buie, he hasn’t played in the NBA this season. However, he’s been doing well with Westchester, averaging 11.2 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.9 rebounds.
