Washington: The Knicks are on fire! They just snagged their eighth win in a row, taking down the Wizards 126-106 at Capital One Arena. What a game!

They really came out swinging, especially in the paint. The Knicks scored a whopping 78 points there last game, and they kept that energy going. In the first quarter, they got 14 of their 27 points right inside the key. But the Wizards were no pushovers, leading 30-27 after the first.

Then came Josh Hart in the second quarter. He hit three three-pointers in just over a minute! He ended up with 17 points in that quarter alone, which was a personal best for him with the Knicks.

At halftime, the Knicks were just ahead, 59-57. It was a nail-biter, just like their last game against the Wizards. They let Jonas Valanciunas score 16 points, and their bench was pretty quiet, getting outscored 28-3.

Things stayed tight in the third quarter, but the Knicks managed to pull away a bit, ending the quarter with a nine-point lead. They finished strong, going on a 13-5 run.

In the fourth, they finally got a comfortable lead, thanks to Deuce McBride stepping up off the bench. The crowd was buzzing with “Let’s Go Knicks” chants as they held a solid 15-point lead.

All five starters hit double digits, with Karl-Anthony Towns leading the way with 32 points and 13 rebounds. Jalen Brunson, who had a crazy 55 points last game, added 18 points this time around.

Despite a rough shooting start, the Knicks ended up shooting 46% overall and nailed 21 of 25 free throws. They also out-rebounded the Wizards, which is always a good sign.

Sadly, Wizards rookie Bub Carrington had to leave the game with a head injury after a tough collision. Hope he’s okay!

Josh Hart was the star of the night, scoring 23 points, grabbing 15 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists for his third triple-double of the season. What a performance!

Next up, the Knicks (23-10) will kick off the new year at home against the Utah Jazz. Can’t wait to see how they do!
