Rochdale: A woman, known as Girl B, shared her story in court. She said she was abused by older men when she was a teenager.

She mentioned that her foster parent tried to alert the authorities. But, she felt like nobody really listened. Girl B thought the abuse was just part of life back then.

Eight men are facing serious charges, including rape. These incidents reportedly happened between 2001 and 2006. The girls involved are referred to as Girl A and Girl B for their protection.

The court learned that many of the accused were taxi drivers or market traders. Girl B described how she was often passed around for sex and then discarded.

During a recent video interview, she recalled being taken to a house in Oldham. She felt anxious because the men there couldn’t speak English.

Girl B said, “I just knew what I had to do.” She felt detached during these encounters, almost like she wasn’t there.

She admitted she didn’t realize it was wrong at the time. To her, it felt normal, and she didn’t want to speak out.

Girl B received small amounts of money, just enough for bus fare. She said, “If I needed money, I knew what I had to do.”

Eventually, as she grew older, she distanced herself from the men. She finally recognized that what was happening wasn’t right.

The trial is ongoing, and the details are still unfolding.
