Los Angeles: People are really upset right now. Kim Kardashian and some other celebs are getting called out for “breaking the rules” while wildfires are tearing through the city.
It seems like Kim and others have been wasting water, which is a big deal since there are restrictions in place. Back in 2022, LA put rules in place to help conserve water, especially with the wildfires happening.
Residents can only water their gardens twice a week for eight minutes. But some celebs, including Kim, are accused of ignoring these rules. It’s frustrating because that water could be used to fight the fires.
Kim, who has a fancy $60 million home, was already fined for using way too much water before. She went over her limit by a whopping 232,000 gallons!
And she’s not the only one. Other stars like Sylvester Stallone and Kevin Hart have also faced fines for their water usage. Even though Kim has tried to make changes since her fine, people are still calling her out.
A neighbor of Kim’s shared their thoughts, saying, “These celebrities think they can do whatever they want. We were all told to cut back on water for situations like this, but they just keep watering their lawns because they can pay the fines.”
In the middle of all this, Kim’s sister, Khloe Kardashian, has been vocal about her frustrations with LA’s politicians. She called out Mayor Bass on Instagram, saying he’s a “joke.”
Khloe shared a clip of Fire Chief Kirstin Crowley, who criticized the city’s leadership for not supporting the firefighters properly. Khloe backed her up, saying, “I stand by YOU Chief Crowley!!!! You spoke the truth!”
Sadly, the wildfires have taken a toll, with the death toll now at 16, according to local officials. The medical examiner’s office confirmed that most of these deaths are linked to the two biggest fires, the Palisades and Eaton fires.
It’s a tough time for everyone in California, and the community is hoping for some relief soon.
