In the video, he even blamed Kiena’s mom for her death. He was sitting in a car, wearing sunglasses, and acting like it was all a joke. He said, “I was told off an hour ago on a manslaughter charge. It’s all f***ing s**t.” What a piece of work!
Wellings, 30, was arrested after Kiena, just 23, took her own life following years of abuse. She left behind their baby girl and a heartbreaking note saying, “I was murdered.” It’s gut-wrenching to think about what she went through.
During his trial, Wellings claimed he didn’t mean to upload the video. He said he was sleep-deprived and had been drinking. But the evidence showed he had a history of controlling and abusive behavior towards Kiena. It’s just so sad that she felt she had no way out.
Kiena met Wellings in early 2020, and it started off like a fairytale. But it quickly turned into a nightmare filled with violence and threats. She even told a friend that he had used a drill on her teeth and threatened to disfigure her with acid. How could someone do that?
On the day she died, Kiena left her baby with a friend and drove to a railway line. She left a note saying she fought hard but felt tortured. It’s just devastating. Wellings will be sentenced soon, but nothing can bring Kiena back.
