Keresley: Last night, emergency services had to shut down a road in Keresley due to a fire. Smoke was pouring out from a double-decker bus, and it was quite a scene.

Bennetts Road was closed for about an hour while firefighters got things under control. The West Midlands Fire Service sent a fire engine and two response vehicles to handle the situation.

They found the bus billowing smoke and quickly took action. Firefighters used two covering jets just to be safe and isolated the bus battery. Thankfully, the fire was determined to be accidental.

Once everything was sorted, the road was reopened around 6:51 PM. The bus company, National Express, took over from there. It was a bit of a scare, but the crews handled it well!
