Northallerton: So, it looks like Kam Bo House has officially closed up shop. The signs are gone from the front and doors, which is a pretty clear sign that they’re done.
This all happened after they got hit with a zero-star hygiene rating on October 24, 2024. Ouch! That’s got to sting.
During the inspection, they were told they needed to step up their game in a few areas. They got marked as needing improvement in food handling, cleanliness, and food safety management. Not great news for a restaurant.
Even after being warned to make some serious changes, it seems they decided to call it quits. Now, there’s a new restaurant called Shawarma House taking over their spot on Friarage Street.
The old gold lettering has been swapped out for the new sign, but not much is known about Shawarma House just yet. The Northern Echo is trying to get in touch with the new owners for more info.
