Los Angeles: So, Justin Herbert was back on the practice field Thursday, but he was taking it easy. He’s dealing with a left ankle injury and a thigh bruise that kept him from practicing the day before.
Herbert mentioned that his ankle sprain isn’t as bad as the high ankle sprain he had earlier this season. He said it’s painful enough to miss practice, but he feels like he’s moving around better this week compared to after the game against Carolina.
He’s got a sleeve on his left leg because of some swelling in his knee. Herbert explained that it just kind of popped up, and he’s been working with the trainers to manage it. They’re doing everything they can to keep the swelling down.
He’s expected to be ready to play on Sunday against the Buccaneers, which is great news for the Chargers. Also, outside linebacker Joey Bosa returned to limited practice after missing Wednesday.
Those were the only updates from the team. Tight end Will Dissly and wide receiver Jalen Reagor are still out, while a few other players are also limited with various injuries.
