Los Angeles: So, Justin Herbert, the Chargers quarterback, missed practice on Wednesday. He’s dealing with a couple of injuries from last Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.
He sprained his left ankle and also has a thigh bruise. Because of that, he said he wasn’t feeling great running out of the pocket. He decided to sit out practice, hoping some rest would help him get back to full speed.
This isn’t the first time Herbert has had an ankle issue this season. He mentioned that this injury “could be a lot worse” compared to when he hurt his right ankle in Week Two.
Herbert shared that this injury feels less severe. He said it’s painful enough to miss practice, but he’s moving around better this week than he did after the Carolina game, where he ended up in a boot.
Luckily, he didn’t miss any games with the previous injury. We should know more in the next couple of days about whether he’ll be ready for this weekend’s game against the Buccaneers.
