Judge Sentences Quebecer Convicted of Triple Murder with No Remorse

A Quebec judge sentenced a remorseless triple murderer to life in prison, emphasizing the need for justice for the victims and their families

Longueuil, Quebec, Triple Murder, Mohamad Al Ballouz, Synthia Bussières

Longueuil: So, a judge just handed down a life sentence to a person named Mohamad Al Ballouz, who now goes by Levana. This individual was found guilty of a horrific triple murder involving their partner and two young kids. The judge didn’t hold back, calling the actions “sadistic” and pointing out the complete lack of remorse.

Al Ballouz was convicted of killing Synthia Bussières and their two sons, Eliam and Zac, back in 2022. The details are pretty chilling. Synthia was stabbed multiple times, and then the kids were killed too. To cover it all up, Al Ballouz even drank some wiper fluid and set their condo on fire. Just awful.

The judge, Eric Downs, made it clear that he doesn’t think Al Ballouz can be rehabilitated. He also mentioned how trying to shift the blame onto Synthia showed a total disregard for the pain caused to the families involved. It’s just heartbreaking.

For the murder of the kids, Al Ballouz got an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years. For Synthia’s murder, the judge set the parole eligibility at 20 years, but that’s mostly symbolic since the total time can’t exceed 25 years anyway.

This whole case is a stark reminder of the tragic consequences of violence and the importance of justice for the victims and their families.
