Buffalo: The Bills had a wild game against the Rams on Sunday, but they just couldn’t pull off the win, losing 44-42. It was a nail-biter for sure!
Josh Allen had an incredible game, becoming the first player ever to throw for three touchdowns and run for three in a regular-season match. He completed 22 of 37 passes for 342 yards and even led the team in rushing with 82 yards on 10 carries. Pretty impressive, right?
But the Bills were in a tough spot, trailing 24-14 at halftime and 38-21 by the end of the third quarter. That’s a big hole to dig out of!
After the game, Allen emphasized the need for urgency. He said, “We have to come out with some urgency. I don’t think at any phase of the game did we do that today.”
With this loss, the Bills fell behind the Chiefs in the race for the AFC’s top seed. Next week, they face the Lions in Detroit, which is going to be another tough challenge.
Allen acknowledged the Lions, saying, “They’re the top dog in football right now. They’re playing extremely well.” He knows they need to learn from this game and move on.
With the Lions also fighting for their playoff position, next Sunday’s game is sure to feel like a playoff battle. It’s going to be intense!
