Denver: So, the Nuggets were in Washington, and wow, Jokic really went off! He dropped a jaw-dropping 56 points, but it still wasn’t enough. The Wizards took the game 122-113, snapping their long losing streak.

Jokic’s performance was historic, ranking as the second-highest points scored in a game, just behind David Thompson’s 73 points from way back in 1978. But the Wizards were on fire, especially Jordan Poole, who scored 39 points and hit nine three-pointers.

The Wizards had been struggling, not winning since October 30, and they were missing a player too. The Nuggets were without Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon due to injuries.

Despite Jokic’s incredible night, he also grabbed 16 rebounds and dished out eight assists. Just two days earlier, he made headlines by surpassing Magic Johnson for the third-most triple-doubles in NBA history.

Now, the Nuggets are sitting ninth in the Western Conference, having lost 10 out of 21 games. Meanwhile, other teams like the Cavaliers and Grizzlies were racking up wins. What a wild night in the NBA!
