London: AFC Wimbledon’s manager Johnnie Jackson recently opened up about his interest in Marcus Browne. He revealed that he had tried to sign Browne when he was at Charlton Athletic.

Browne, who’s 27, was a free agent after leaving Oxford, where he helped the team get promoted to League One last season. He’s now signed with Wimbledon until the end of the season after impressing during training.

Jackson mentioned that Browne brings a unique attacking option to the team. He’s known for his creativity and ability to score goals, which is something the Dons are excited about.

Last season was tough for Browne due to injuries, limiting him to just 15 appearances. Jackson noted that they had been keeping an eye on him for a while, and his recent training sessions showed he’s ready to contribute.

The Dons are gearing up for their League Two match against Tranmere after having a couple of games postponed due to bad weather. Jackson expressed his frustration about the cancellations, especially the one against Fleetwood, where they had already traveled.

He also talked about the temporary signings of Romaine Sawyers and Sam Hutchinson to help with injuries. Sawyers has since moved on to Bristol Rovers, but Hutchinson has extended his stay, proving to be a valuable asset for the team.

Overall, Jackson is optimistic about Browne’s potential and the team’s upcoming matches, hoping they can build some momentum moving forward.
