Philadelphia: So, guess who’s back? Joel Embiid returned to the 76ers after missing seven games, and boy, did he make an impact! He dropped 31 points and snagged 12 rebounds in a 108-100 win over the Chicago Bulls.
Before this game, Embiid hadn’t played since November 20. In his last outing, he scored 35 points against the Grizzlies. The Sixers managed to go 4-3 while he was out, dealing with some knee issues and personal stuff.
He was a bit shaky at first, missing his first six shots. The Bulls took an early lead, but Embiid found his groove in the second quarter, scoring 19 points and helping out on defense with two blocks.
His presence really changed the game. The Sixers struggled with three-pointers, but they dominated inside, thanks to Embiid. It was a solid team effort, with Tyrese Maxey also shining with a triple-double.
Maxey scored 25 points, while Paul George and Kelly Oubre Jr. chipped in with 12 each. The Bulls had Zach LaVine leading their charge with 30 points, but it wasn’t enough.
This win marked the 76ers’ second straight victory, helping them climb out of the Eastern Conference basement. They’re now 7-15 and have a few days off before facing the Pacers on Friday.
