Philadelphia: So, Joel Embiid is back! After missing six games, he jumped right into action and scored 35 points against the Bulls. The 76ers won 108-100, and it was a big deal.
Before this game, Embiid hadn’t played since November 20. He was out for knee management and personal stuff. The team managed to go 4-3 without him, but they definitely missed his presence.
He was a bit shaky at first, missing his first six shots. The Bulls took an early lead, but Embiid found his groove in the second quarter, scoring 19 points. His defense was also on point, with two blocks to help the team.
It was great to see the “Big Three” of Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George finally play together. Maxey even got a triple-double with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 14 assists. George and Kelly Oubre Jr. chipped in with 12 points each.
On the Bulls’ side, Zach LaVine led with 30 points, but it wasn’t enough. This win puts the 76ers on a little roll, winning four of their last five games. They’re still working their way up in the Eastern Conference, currently sitting at 12th place.
Now, the team gets a few days off before facing the Indiana Pacers on Friday. It’ll be interesting to see how they continue to build momentum!
