London: A rapper has been outed as the killer of schoolboy Jimmy Mizen, and he might be heading back to prison. Jake Fahri, who was convicted of murder, filmed a music video in Greenwich, which could be a parole violation.

Right now, there’s an investigation going on. Fahri seems to have recorded drill music that references the tragic murder of Jimmy back in 2008. Jimmy was just 16 when he died after a glass dish was thrown at him, causing a fatal injury.

Jimmy’s mom, Margaret Mizen, and her husband Barry spotted Fahri in a video with Canary Wharf in the background. They believe this is a clear breach of his parole conditions, which could lead to him going back behind bars.

Margaret, who has worked tirelessly to help young people avoid violence, expressed her frustration. She pointed out that Fahri isn’t allowed in certain areas, including Greenwich. She said, “If he has breached it then yes, he needs to go back to prison and really think about his life.”

She’s worried that these videos might make him a sort of celebrity, which is just wrong. Fahri, now 35, is known as the rapper TEN and has been boasting about violence in his music. His tracks even got some airtime on BBC Radio 1Xtra, which raised eyebrows.

Fahri was sentenced to life in 2009 and was released on licence in June 2023. The prison service is treating this case seriously and is looking into it as a priority. They’ve made it clear that they don’t take any material that glorifies violence lightly.

Interestingly, the BBC said they had no idea who TEN really was and that they don’t support his actions. Since getting out, Fahri has been living in Deptford with his dog, wearing a tag, and following a curfew. He’s also not allowed to enter Lewisham, where the Mizens still live.
