Jets Interview Request for Vikings’ Brian Flores as Head Coach
The Jets are looking to interview Brian Flores for their head-coaching position after his success with the Vikings’ defense

New York: The Jets are making moves to fill their head-coaching spot. They’ve asked to chat with Brian Flores, who’s been doing a solid job as the Vikings’ defensive coordinator.
Flores had a bit of a rocky time with the Dolphins, but he’s proven he knows his stuff. The Vikings had a great season, going 14-3, and Flores played a big part in that success.
It’s interesting because this would be Flores’ first interview since he filed a lawsuit against the NFL for discrimination in hiring. He claims that the league and some teams have been unfair in their hiring practices.
After being let go by the Dolphins, he joined the Steelers and then moved to the Vikings, where he’s really turned their defense around. The Jets are looking at a bunch of candidates, but Flores stands out, especially with his past experiences and the lawsuit hanging over him.
There are some big names on the Jets’ list, but Flores’ situation adds a unique twist. He’s got a strong resume, and it looks like he might get another shot at being a head coach.
