New York: As the Jets’ season wraps up, Aaron Rodgers is in a bit of a pickle. The team’s had a rough go, sitting at 4-10, and it’s been a struggle on the field.

When reporters asked if he’s thinking about next year, Rodgers, who’s 41, said he’ll take some time after the season to figure things out. He mentioned he’ll decide “whether or not I want to play.”

Rodgers plans to step back and reflect, unless he gets released right away. He’s been through a lot, especially after only playing one snap last season due to injury. This year, he’s started all 14 games, throwing for 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

He’s hinted at retirement before, even going on a darkness retreat last offseason to think about his future. After that, he made the move to the Jets from the Packers.

Despite the team’s struggles, they’ve stuck with him. The owner, Woody Johnson, has made some big changes, firing the head coach and GM recently.

New York was officially out of playoff contention after a tough loss to the Dolphins on December 8. But there have been some bright spots. Recently, Rodgers and his favorite target, Davante Adams, connected for a big win against the Jaguars.

With three games left this season, it looks like Rodgers might need to head back into the darkness to make his next big decision.
