New York: The Jets are out of the playoffs again, and honestly, it’s not shocking anymore. The real surprise will be when they finally make it back.

With the 2024 season included, that makes it 14 years in a row without a playoff appearance. That’s the longest drought in the NFL and longer than any other major sports league in the U.S. Talk about a tough run!

The last time they were in the playoffs was back in 2010, when Rex Ryan was coaching and Mark Sanchez was the quarterback. They even made it to the AFC Championship Game that year. Since then, it’s been a rough ride.

Everyone thought Aaron Rodgers would turn things around when he joined the team, but it’s been the opposite. He got hurt just four plays into his first game last year, and they ended up with a 7-10 record. This year, he’s played every game, but the Jets are sitting at 3-10. The team’s in worse shape now, thanks to his big salary and some questionable moves made to support him.

Looking ahead, there’s not much to be excited about for next season. They’ll probably have a new coach and a new quarterback, which might kick off a rebuild. Fingers crossed it doesn’t take another 14 years!
