New York: The Jets just finished chatting with Mike Greenberg, the assistant G.M. from the Buccaneers. They’re looking for someone to fill their G.M. spot, and Greenberg’s got some solid experience.
He’s been with the Bucs since 2023, but before that, he held various roles in football administration. He started as a player personnel assistant back in 2010. So, he knows his stuff!
Greenberg is known for his expertise with the salary cap. He’s played a big part in building a Bucs team that’s won four NFC South titles in a row and made the playoffs five times straight, including a Super Bowl win in 2020.
Fun fact: Greenberg grew up on Long Island and graduated from Cornell in 2007. He even went to law school at Hofstra, where the Jets used to practice.
The Jets are also checking out other candidates. They’ve talked to a bunch of folks, including the Chiefs’ Mike Borgonzi and former Falcons G.M. Thomas Dimitroff. They’re casting a wide net to find the right fit.
