New York: The Jets just wrapped up an interview with Louis Riddick for their General Manager spot. Riddick, who’s 55, is currently an analyst for ESPN and ABC.

Before his TV gig, he worked in the front office for the Commanders and Eagles. He’s got a solid background in football, having interviewed for G.M. jobs with the Lions and Texans back in 2020.

Riddick is the third candidate the Jets have talked to. They’ve also met with former Falcons G.M. Thomas Dimitroff and former Titans G.M. Jon Robinson.

He kicked off his NFL journey as a pro scout with Washington from 2001 to 2004. Riddick climbed the ranks there, eventually becoming the director of pro personnel before moving to the Eagles.

He even played in the NFL for seven years with teams like the Falcons, Browns, and Raiders. Jets Chairman Woody Johnson is leading the search for a new G.M. and head coach.

He’s brought in The 33rd Team to help find and vet candidates, while Phil Savage and Jeff Ulbrich are stepping in as interim G.M. and head coach for now.
