Dallas: The story of Jerry Jones and the Cowboys is a wild ride. It all kicked off in 1989 when Jones took over as owner and general manager. His first season? A rough 1-15 record. But things turned around quickly when they drafted Emmitt Smith, joining forces with Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin. They went from disaster to glory, winning three Super Bowls in just four years. But after those glory days, things got rocky. Jones has been on a quest to find the right coach ever since. He’s tried a bunch of different guys, but none have really hit it out of the park. Most recently, Mike McCarthy was brought in, but he couldn’t shake the Cowboys’ reputation for underachieving. After a few decent seasons, he was let go too.
