London: Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are set to take their final bow on “Dancing on Ice.” They’ve been a huge part of the show, and it’s bittersweet to see them go.
At 66 and 67, they feel it’s time to hang up their skates. Christopher mentioned that this will be their last live performance, and they’re wrapping up their tour too. It’s a big change for them.
They’ve had an incredible journey since their retirement in 1998, racking up 16 gold medals and that unforgettable gold at the 1984 Sarajevo Olympics. What a legacy!
Even though they won’t be skating anymore, they’ll still be judging alongside Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse. Jayne shared how “Dancing on Ice” feels like their baby, as they helped create the show from the ground up.
The new series will be hosted by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern, featuring a mix of celebrities from different backgrounds. It’s going to be an exciting season, even without our favorite skating duo on the ice.
