Philadelphia: So, Jalen Hurts is officially out for the Eagles’ last regular season game. This is a bummer since he’s still dealing with that concussion from the Week 16 game against the Commanders.
With the Eagles already secured as the No. 2 seed in the NFC, it seems like even if he was feeling fine, they might have rested him anyway. Now, everyone’s curious about how he’ll be for the playoffs next week.
Coach Nick Sirianni mentioned in a press conference that Hurts is making some progress, but he didn’t spill too many details. He said, “He’s progressing through the protocol,” which is good to hear.
As for the game, if Kenny Pickett can’t go due to his ribs, Tanner McKee will step in as quarterback alongside Hurts. The only other player listed as questionable is running back Will Shipley, who’s also in concussion protocol.
The Eagles haven’t ruled anyone else out, but it looks like they’re resting a bunch of their regulars. Some big names like Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown, and Darius Slay are all on the doubtful list, which means they might not play either.
