Warrington: So, this guy Lee Jenks just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. He’s been caught with a knife in public for the third time now. The court had no choice but to send him to jail.

At 49 years old, he showed up at Chester Magistrates’ Court after being charged with having a knife. He didn’t even try to fight it and pleaded guilty right away.

The prosecutor, Kassem Noureddine, laid out the details. Jenks was found with a kitchen knife on Bridge Street in Warrington on New Year’s Eve. Not exactly a smart move, right?

This isn’t his first rodeo. He was already jailed last December for carrying a knife and drugs, plus he had some assault charges hanging over him. The magistrates were pretty clear: with a record like that, jail time was a given.

Even though they gave him some credit for pleading guilty, they said there were no special circumstances to keep him out of jail. So, they handed him a 26-week sentence, starting right away.

Oh, and they also made sure to take the knife away from him. Can’t say I blame them!
