Ipswich: The licensing subcommittee was set to review Special Food Store’s licence. They had trouble finding the shop’s licence holder. The meeting was scheduled for Friday.

Before the meeting, the store surrendered its alcohol licence. This means it can’t sell alcohol anymore.

Now, the store has a new owner. If they want to sell alcohol again, it will be a new application.

The previous owner, Saman Syamand Rashid, was hard to reach. The council’s officer, Robert Hinson, tried to contact him multiple times.

Hinson even visited Rashid’s address but learned he hadn’t lived there in years. The council later found out Rashid had left the company.

Didar and Emad Hoshyar were the ones communicating with the council about the store. They had taken over after Rashid.

The council planned to review the licence on Friday. But since Rashid was no longer involved, they needed to reassess the situation.

Didar and Emad Hoshyar have now resigned and sold the store to Ardalan Mohammed. He is now the sole director and owns most of the shares.

If Special Food Store wants to apply for a new licence, it will be under Mohammed’s name.
